NAPLAN tests are a good way of testing your child’s capabilities and the ambit of your child’s understanding of the most basic elements of our lives and their studies.
NAPLAN tests are held separately than your child’s school exams.
However, these tests could be stressful, especially as your child grows. Grade 9 is the most difficult year, and it is obvious that your child or student will be stressed out.
If your students are appearing for NAPLAN grade 9 tests this year, here is how you can help them:
-
Prepare your Students: Grade 9 is a difficult year, and the tests would be quite hard as well. So, to make sure that your student does not zone out during the tests, help them understand every element of their studies. Make sure that you use examples to make them understand what the subject holds. Other than this, you could use videos or colorful diagrams to attract the attention of the students and help them focus more.
-
Help them Go through Previous Questions: Once you are done preparing your student and have covered the study material, make sure that your students go through the previous year questions. Although there is a high possibility that the questions may not be same for this year, there is always a possibility of the questions being similar. These papers and questions will help your students become familiar with the questions and the pattern.
- Practice: When it comes to performing well on exams, your students will need to practice. Remember that if your students do not practice, there is no way your students will be able to perform better. Find interactive NAPLAN practice tests for year 9 online to find ready-made papers. Or use Subject Coach and its tests for help.
Help your students appear for the test without any stress and keep motivating them.
