Most WiFi devices with the 'WPS feature' enabled, allow hackers easy remote access to your network!
Happy first of September everyone.
A new month unfortunately brings news of a new serious threat. All of you with WPS (WiFi Protected Setup) enabled WiFi routers or access points should disable the feature immediately until the flaw is patched.
This affects most consumer based routers that utilise the broadcom wireless chipset. This includes wireless routers made by Linksys, D-link, Netgear and TP-Link.
The vulnerability allows a remote hacker to gain access your network with minimal effort. Here is an article by PC Magazine giving more detail on the attack.
